As a relatively cheap mode of transport, it has been a preferred mode of travel and one of the instruments in national integration. India’s railway sector has undergone a remarkable transformation. The Government has placed immense focus on modernising and revitalising the Indian Railways, recognising its pivotal role in driving economic growth and connecting the nation.
