Clarification – The correct answer must be (Only 2). On the day of the original post, there were only 2 women judges in the Supreme Court of India. The Supreme court will have three women judges after the appointment and swearing in of Justice Indira Banerjee. The original post has been modified accordingly to be in tune with the date of the post. As of today, (after the swearing in) there are three women judges in the Supreme Court of India – Justices R Bhanumathi, Justice Indu Malhotra and Justice Indira Banerjee — the most woman judges the apex court has had.
